Had enough of those boring, over-used vases in your home? You want something new but just can't cough up the money to buy one? Don't worry, we may have the solution for you! Using materials that could be found laying around your home, here's an easy, budget-friendly way to spruce up those tired vases.

Using leftover twine (as we did to the right) or even scraps from your knitting projects, you can change your vases in seconds. Plus, the process to create it is not complicated. Just simply wrap the lonely vase with any desired "string", glue the tips securely to the vase, and tie a cute knot to finish.

I hope you enjoyed this easy and cheap way to get a new vase from materials that could just be collecting dust in your home. Until next time, enjoy the rest of your Easter holiday!

Jamie loves trees, redwoods, and anything to do with nature. So with that her color pallet is white/cream, green, and brown for her simple and traditional wedding. I used some white roses and freesia in her bouquet.

Had loads of fun working on Erica and Brian's wedding this past Saturday Aug 8 2009. A special thanks to Carlene, my web designer and photographer along with Nicole and Christine, my floral assistants, who helped me with the all bouquets. I can't forget Sebastian (aka Sock puppet) and Pantone for being who they are....Dogs.

Erica(the bride) loves tropicals so using tropical-like flowers and colors were used as the main theme of the wedding. She wanted the bouquets to be colorful and to stand out from the dresses which were purple(bridesmaids) and brown(maids of honor). The pops of orange, purple and green made a striking contrast to maids of honor and bridesmaids dresses. We kept Erica's bouquet traditional white with green orchids and ti leaves and added a rosary which was a nice way to personalize her bouquet.

I loved the look of the ti leaves making the bouquets look tropical without having to spend a whole lot to create that look. The ti leaves actually made the bouquets appear larger which is an awesome way 2 get a good size bouquet on a budget :)
